If I delete a character.... - Guild Wars Forums

I have used up all 4 of my slots, and I want to make a mesmer seeing as how I might enjoy the class, and hearing how it's one of the funnest class to play as. Now, I have a character in mind that I might delete, but I wanted to keep some items. Now, let's say if I changed my mind about the mesmer, or wanted to delete a different character, if I were to name the character I previously deleted for the mesmer the same name as before, can I still equip the same armor from when the character had it?

Apparently you cannot use your old armour/weapons even if the new character has the same name.

no you cant resuse the armor under the same name

And the new character couldn't use the armor anyway, since your are changing classes.

Even the same primary class character with the same name cannot use the armor, oreven a weapon that was customized. I know this because I originally made a w/r and decided after getting to about lvl 10, wanted to start it over and make a w/mo. I saved the weapons and armor I had for the first, and none worked for the new one even though it had the same name.
